World Mental Health Day 2022

World Mental Health Day 2022

World Mental Health Day is an extremely important day, which can be used to raise awareness of the different issues that people who are suffering have to deal with every day. This year, the theme of World Mental Health Day is to “make mental health and wellbeing for all a global priority”.

We couldn’t agree more and were delighted to welcome our service users, friends, family and local politicians to our World Mental Health Day event.

The event was held in Charnwood at the Thurmaston Community Centre (where we run weekly group sessions) and was well attended. We had the pleasure of hearing from service users, and being entertained by incredible creatives including Bobby Dhanjal and Lucy’s Dance Group.

We were even visited by Ed Argar MP for Charnwood who expressed his gratitude for the work we do and the impact it has on our community. We were also fortunate enough to have Inspector David Stokes (Police Commander for Charnwood) also with us to share his mental health story.
