World Mental Health Day 2023

World Mental Health Day 2023

World Mental Health Day is an extremely important day, which can be used to raise awareness of the different issues that people who are suffering have to deal with every day. This year, the theme of World Mental Health Day is “mental health is a universal human right”.

We couldn’t agree more and were delighted to welcome our service users, friends, family and local politicians to our World Mental Health Day event.

The event was held in Charnwood at the Birstall Social Club and was well attended. We had the pleasure of hearing from service users, and being entertained by incredible creatives including Urmila & Music Group and Sound Therapy from Priyesh.

We were thrilled to welcome Ed Argar MP for Charnwood who has continued supporting our work and expressed his gratitude for the work we do and the impact it has on our community.

Our guests were also wowed by our incredible Magician and were kept active by Angela & her team from Angel Dance!

We would also finally like to thank all of our partners who attended our event and provided our service users with invaluable information and support. A big thank you to WEA, Age UK, OMH Mental Wellbeing, P3, Helping Hands, Leicestershire Police, NEA, Norton Housing Group, Xyla/NHS, Meditation4All and all of our incredible staff and volunteers!
